Changed your mind partway through? Just tell us — "wrong address," "different card," "send it to someone else," or "start over" — and we'll adjust on the spot.

The Cards
Are the cards actually handwritten?▾
Yes — genuinely. We use a professional robotic handwriting system with real pens and real ink on real card stock. The result looks and feels personal because it is written by hand — just not a human one. Recipients consistently think it was written by the sender.
What kinds of cards can I send?▾
We carry a range of card designs including birthdays, anniversaries, thank you cards, sympathy cards, thinking of you, and more. When you text us we'll show you what's available — or
browse the collection. New designs are added regularly.
Can I write my own message, or is it pre-written?▾
You write the message — we just put it on the card. If you're not sure what to say, just ask and we'll suggest something warm and personal based on the occasion. You can approve, tweak, or replace it entirely before the card is sent.
Can I include a return address?▾
Yes — cards are sent with a Txt Joy return address by default. If you'd like a custom return address, just text us before confirming your order.
Delivery
How long does delivery take?▾
Cards are typically mailed within 1 business day of your order being confirmed. USPS first-class delivery then takes 3–7 business days depending on the destination. Plan for about a week from when you order to when it arrives.
Where do you deliver?▾
We deliver to any address in the United States, including PO boxes. International shipping is not currently available.
Can I track my card?▾
Yes — after your order is confirmed, we'll text you a link to your order status page where you can see whether your card is processing, confirmed, or mailed. We don't have individual USPS tracking on standard cards, but you'll know exactly when it left our hands.
Pricing & Payment
How much does it cost?▾
Pay-as-you-go cards are $5.99 each, including postage and delivery. If you send cards regularly, our monthly bundle plan is $20.99 for 5 cards — over 30% off. Unused credits roll over and refresh each month.
How does payment work?▾
When you first start, we'll send you a secure link to enter your payment details. After that, you just reply YES to approve each card — your saved card is charged automatically. No re-entering card details every time.
Is my payment information secure?▾
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor used by millions of businesses. We never store your full card number — only a secure token provided by Stripe.
Can I cancel an order?▾
Yes — as long as your card hasn't been sent to print yet. Just text UNDO and we'll cancel it and issue a full refund automatically. Once the card is in production with our printing partner, we can no longer cancel it, but if something went wrong please reach out and we'll do our best to help.
Can I get a refund?▾
If you cancel before the card goes to print (text
UNDO), you'll receive a full refund automatically. If there's an issue after mailing — wrong address, card not received, or something went wrong on our end — just text or email us at
help@txtjoy.com and we'll make it right.
Using Txt Joy
Do I need to download an app?▾
Nope. Everything works through your regular SMS messages — iMessage, Android Messages, or any texting app. No download, no account creation, no login.
How do reminders work?▾
After you send a birthday or anniversary card, we automatically save a reminder for next year — no extra steps needed. We'll text you 15 days before the occasion so your card has plenty of time to arrive. You can also set a reminder manually anytime by texting something like "Remind me to send a card to Mom on June 3" and we'll save it.
Can I send cards to multiple people?▾
Absolutely. We save your recipients, so sending a second card to the same person is even faster. Each card is a separate order — just text us whenever you're ready to send another.
How do I cancel a reminder?▾
Just text us something like "Cancel my reminder for Mom's anniversary" and we'll take care of it. (Please don't reply STOP for this — STOP unsubscribes you from all Txt Joy messages, not just one reminder.)
How does the referral program work?▾
Text us REFER to get your unique code. When a friend signs up using your code, you earn 50% off your next card. There's no limit to how many people you can refer — each successful referral earns you another discount.

How does Txt Joy help me find the right card?▾
We use the details you share — who you're sending to, what the occasion is, and your relationship — to recommend cards that actually fit. You don't have to browse a catalog or figure out what's appropriate. Just tell us what's going on and we'll suggest the right options.
For example: "I want to send something to my parents for their anniversary — they've had a rough year" gets you a very different set of cards than a generic anniversary pick. The more you tell us, the better the match.
Can you help me write the message too?▾
Absolutely. If you're not sure what to write, just say so — we'll suggest a message based on who you're sending to and the occasion. You can approve it as-is, ask us to adjust the tone, or replace it entirely with your own words. Most people end up with something better than they would have written alone, in about 30 seconds.
